Friends of Porthcawl Comprehensive School

The Parents, Teachers & Friends of Porthcawl Comprehensive, formerly the PTA, has been running for many years. The committee of volunteers from both parents and staff meet on an informal basis approximately once a month.

The main aim of the 'group' is to raise funds for the school by holding a variety of functions throughout the year. These range from Barn Dances to Quiz Nights where staff, parents and their friends meet informally for 'fun' evenings.

The 'group' also holds events, which are non fund-raising but extremely helpful to parents. These include Forum Evenings where invited guests speak on some of the problems young people face in today's society.
