Have your say on learner travel

From September 2016 the qualifying distance for free primary school transport changed from 1.5 miles to 2 miles and the qualifying distance for free secondary transport changed from 2 miles to 3 miles. What this means is that for most learners, the policy change will not mean a loss of provision at the current distances. However, learners who are either starting their reception year, or year 7 and do not have siblings in the same school, will be impacted by the policy change from September 2016, and likewise year on year.
